A new word, and the opportunity to use it will always make me happy.  Today's word is antediluvian.  It can be used as an adjective or a noun.  As an adjective it refers to something "of or belonging to the period before the Flood".  This is the Flood from Genesis 7-8 fame.  The word's general use promotes sarcasm, so I like it more than many of my current favorites.  It's a way of saying someone or something is very old or old-fashioned.  A typical conversation using the word might go like this:

"Did you hear what happened with John and Kate?"
"Please, that story is so antediluvian, I'm more captivated by what's going on with Conan!"

I learned that listening to Will Smith just might be the whitest thing I do.  Christian Lander, can you confirm this?  I can't help it though, "Miami" is getting me pumped for this Summer and the warm weather. You feel me?  I be kicking it old schools!

Finally, I learned that my Xbox360 will never be as cool as the one pictured below.  But it makes me happy just knowing it's out there.  It was designed by Weta Workshop co-founder Richard Taylor, it is fully functional and it is still under warranty.  Oh, and he is currently auctioning it off for charity!  The high bid on eBay as of this posting is $2,300 Australian dollars—which is around $2,300 US dollars as well.  I can't wait until the days when my company is large enough for me to ask my diorama artist to build me such fantastic creations!  Ugh, I can't look at the picture anymore!  It makes my Xbox360 seems so, I don't know...what's the word?
