It doesn't matter how old I get, the Muppets will still have the ability to make me burst out in laughter.

You should always strive to win through your actions, never through argument.  Words have the uncanny ability to be misunderstood, and people find it harder to disagree with something you show them, rather than tell them.

The word pyrrhic means "achieved at excessive cost".  It comes from Pyrrhus, king of Epirus, who sustained heavy losses in defeating the Romans.  Ex: The World of Warcraft addict's crowning achievement of reaching level 70 seemed somewhat pyrrhic when he considered he could no longer hold a conversation with a girl.

UPS donated 1 million to Haiti to aid in relief from the earthquake that happened earlier this week.  I usually don't stray towards the cynical side of things, but this action seems more like a cheap public relations ploy than a sincere attempt to help the Haitian population through this nightmarish catastrophe.  Consider that a 30-second spot during the Super Bowl cost more than this, not including the cost to produce it. Seems like UPS's charity is cheap airtime publicity.  If they were truly sincere, they would give more, not just enough to fix the roads and communications towers that would get UPS trucks back to delivering packages there.  Oh, and don't forget how much money will be made in shipping the care packages to this country in dire need of our assistance.  UPS will make that million back in no time.  I suggest sending FedEx or even USPS first!  Anyone who doesn't use widespread pain as an outlet for self-promotion is a better choice.
